John Burroughs

John Burroughs was an early environmentalist, and as a writer, was very instrumental in the conservation movement in the 1800s. Born and raised in the Roxbury area and having spent much time in the mountains, some of his best works were about the Catskills. The Burroughs Range was named after him. This room is 10’ X 13’, has one high queen-size bed, and books to peruse before you retire for the evening. The four-pane window draws plenty of light. There is also a small window in the bathroom.
