Scudder Hill House is close to skiing, mountain biking, horseback riding, parks, lakes, reservoir fishing, golf, and several restaurants. Just across the street from us is Lake Wawaka where you may take a stroll or rent a kayak. Shopping and sightseeing are just minutes away in Roxbury and the town of Margaretville.

Also nearby, only minutes from us, are Plattekill and Belleayre Mountains which offer skiing, snowboarding, and tubing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer. For certain recreation and local area attractions, we offer discounted tickets to our guests.

Hanah Golf Course

Hanah Golf Course, nicknamed the “Terminator” by Golf Digest, is an 18-hole par 72 course. At 7,195 yards from the back tees and 5,125 yards from the front tees, it can provide a fair test for players of all skill levels. Water comes into play on half of the holes. The signature hole, #13, is a difficult par-4 with water splitting the fairway. The course also features a par-3 19th hole, perfect for sudden death matches.

Historic Shephard Hills Golf Club

Built in 1919 and located in Roxbury, Shephard Hills Golf Course is a semi-private 9-hole layout with a par of 36. It features 2 sets of tees, with the back tees playing a modest 3,127 yards.
