We are within 3–5 miles of most wedding site establishments in this area.

Tubing

On a hot summer day, float down the Esopus Creek for two hours after you have rented a tube from the Town Tinker which is located in the town of Phoenicia off Rte 28. Enjoy the lazy hazy days of summer.

Bowling

On those rainy afternoons, take a ride to the Margaretville Bowling alley located on Rte 28 and have a few hours of fun.

Train Ride

Located on Route 28 in the town of Arkville and less than ten minutes away, the Arkville depot offers you a scenic ride through the beautiful Catskill Mountains aboard the historic Delaware & Ulster Railroad.

Chairlift Rides and Hiking Trails

In the summer, ride the chairlifts at Plattekill and Belleayre Mountains where you can take in views of the mountains, as well as the bikers below. Trails are also open for hikers.

Don't miss the Bibliobarn, a three-story barn, which is located in South Kortright and is tucked away in the middle of the woods. It has a huge selection of books to choose from. When you visit H.L. and Linda, you will walk away filled with a memory you will not soon forget. Tell them that Bruce and Rae sent you. If you ask, they will both entertain you with facts and stories from the past to the present. Make a day of it and after you purchase some books, and you will, go to The Hidden Inn right around the corner for a great dinner or lunch, which we think has good food and is reasonably priced.

Rock Climbing

For trad climbers, the Shawangunks Mountains (The Gunks) offers a great range of climbing. It is located in New Paltz, which is one exit south of us off the NYS Thruway.
