Located in the Schoharie Valley in North Bleinheim on Rte 30 north, in about 25 minutes, you can swim in an Olympic size swimming pool or enjoy their wading and diving pool areas. You can fish for trout, bass, carp, walleye and pan fish. Overlook the 80-foot Mine Kill Falls and hike the trails. In the winter, go snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.

Across the street from Scudder Hill House, you can take a three or four-mile walk, jog or bike ride around the lake, which starts from the front entrance of the Scudder Hill House and ends at the front entrance; or you can canoe and kayak. Bring your own boat or rent from Susan’s Pleasant Pheasant in Halcottsville on Old River Road.
On a sandy beach located on Rte 28 in Pine Hill, you can swim, picnic, play horseshoes, fish or rent a pedal boat, kayak and canoe. You can also swim laps in a designated area, jog around the beach or hike the trails behind it. The pavilion is also available for rent for large parties.
A New York State Department of Environmental Conversation campground, Little Pond and Big Pond are about thirty-five minutes away from the Scudder Hill House off Rte 28 west. You can canoe, kayak, swim, picnic, fish and hike the trails in a beautiful, private-like setting, which is located in the town of Andes.
